The staff of D.L.C. Academy believes that the children of today are the hope of tomorrow, the future. Our goal is to aid in the development of the individual they will become.
Our first priority is that the influence we have on your child is a positive one. We try to help children progress from one area of development to another with ease and confidence. We strive to help them meet their physical, social, aesthetic, emotional, and intellectual needs at each stage of development.
There is excitement in learning! Children who taste that excitement early in life will have a positive attitude toward school and will continue learning. A positive self-concept allows a child to try something new. Success improves self-concept, which allows the child to build upon what they have learned. We must give each child the opportunity for success every day.
To promote learning, D.L.C. Academy has its own curriculum which has been developed in coordination with the local elementary schools. Through this joint program, children will be ready when they enter kindergarten. The curriculum provides year around weekly themes to help guide each child at his/her own pace. Our goal is to provide a total environment, both indoors and outdoors, which gives children everything they need to grow into a happy, healthy, and successful individual. The way in which you touch your child's life today will have a lifelong effect on that child's personality and potential for success.
D.L.C. Academy has maintained an open door policy since its founding in May 1983. It is our belief that if a child care facility is following state regulations, in all respects of child care, there is no need for scheduling an appointment or needing clearance to gain access to see your child. At the same time we maintain strict safety precautions to ensure a safe environment.
To facilitate your child care needs, D.L.C. Academy offers a variety of schedules, including full and part time. Our full time rates are for any child attending more than six hours a day. Part time rates cover up to four (4) hour and six (6) hour blocks per day, respectfully. D.L.C. Academy, being state licensed accepts both regular care payment and Division of Family Services subsidies.
